The Echo Ethos

The pet industry is huge, and is continuing to grow. It is also still, unfortunately, a largely unregulated industry. As a result, owners are bombarded with conflicting information, from often unsubstantiated sources, about what they should be doing to provide their pet with the best life possible.

We love our pets and simply want the best for them. Therefore, Echo was established to provide a pet services and dog training business with standards as high as I would expect for my own pets, based on up to date, scientifically proven, welfare focussed best practices.

Who is Echo - Pet Services?

I am Abbie, the founder of Echo - Pet Services and a professional dog trainer and animal care provider.

I have been in the pet industry for over 10 years. I obtained a first-class degree with honours in BSc Applied Animal Studies from the University of Northampton where I studied animal behaviour, welfare, learning, training and cognition. My experience includes working at a rescue centre, zoo and the largest dog charity in the UK, the Dogs Trust.

As a Senior Coach for the Dogs Trust for nearly 3 years, I ran preventative pet dog training classes, to ensure dogs didn't end up in the rescue centres. Seeing 70 dogs over 12 training classes a week, I am fully trained to their high standards, by people with some of the best dog knowledge in the country.

Echo - Pet Services was then established in 2020, providing dog training, dog walking, pet drop-ins and pet sitting for animals in the Milton Keynes area. But as the business grew further and faster than I ever expected, I realised there wasn't enough of me to go around to meet everyone's needs as fully as I would like. So, in 2024, I decided to concentrate fully on my true passion - dog training, to ensure I could fully meet all my clients' training needs.

I am very passionate about all animals and their well-being, but with 12 million dogs in 1/3 of UK households and behavioural issues being the most common reason for dogs being relinquished to rescue centres, good training is essential for a harmonious cohabitation between dogs and their guardians.

I am fully insured and DBS checked.
